Featured Work

I’m a big fan of artists, museums, and brands with cultural and social impact.

Since 2022 I have led communications for SDSU Research Foundation during years of record-breaking growth. Previously I was the director of communications for Laguna Art Museum when it was recognized for high-quality exhibitions and public programs. Other work has included marketing, membership, capital campaigns, and service on committees for the California Association of Museums, SoCal Museums, Laguna Beach Arts Alliance, and Oceanside Cultural District.

Art + Nature | public relations and marketing

From 2016 to 2021, I led communications for Laguna Art Museum’s Art + Nature. Commissioned artists included Phillip K. Smith III, Pablo Vargas Lugo, and Elizabeth Turk, with press coverage by Dezeen, the LA Times, and more.

LAM100 | website, branding, and marketing

For the museum’s centennial year, I engaged creative partners at Studio Misfits for a new website and brand design to celebrate the museum’s history and refresh its visual identity.

Public Relations | exhibitions coverage

With thoughtful media outreach, I placed exhibition reviews for John Baldesari in Blue Door, Tony DeLap in the LA Times and New Criterion, Matthew Rolston in the LA Times and Forbes, Self-Help Graphics & Art in OC Weekly, and Wayne Thiebaud in Art and Cake, plus museum features in AFAR, and many others.

Fundraising Events | auctions and galas

I directed event marketing and public relations for five editions of the annual California Cool Art Auction, in addition to museum galas, exhibition openings, performances, and public programs.

Smart Partnerships | engagement and support

I partnered with Smartify, the world’s most downloaded museum app, to make Laguna Art Museum its first North American partner. I also engaged Artsy for the annual California Cool Art Auction, expanding sales to a global audience.

Development | branding and sponsorship

At the Museum of Photographic Arts, I achieved more than $700,000 in grant funding and corporate sponsorships in advance of its merger with the San Diego Museum of Art.

Next Act | capital campaign

At Segerstrom Center for the Arts, I led prospect research and supported communications for a $68 million capital campaign for a public arts plaza and center for dance and innovation.
